Kavitha Velusamy serves as Senior Vice President of Software and AI at Brain Corp, bringing over two decades of experience in building impactful products across robotics, AI, computer vision, and audio/speech technologies.
Prior to Brain Corp, Kavitha held senior leadership roles at companies like Amazon, NVIDIA, Robust.AI, Leia Inc., and Bossa Nova Robotics. At Amazon, she helped launch Echo and Alexa, shaping the future of voice-enabled smart devices. At NVIDIA, she oversaw the development of CUDA-optimized computer vision libraries for autonomous systems. Most recently at Robust.AI, she drove the development of human-centric warehouse robots. Known for scaling teams and technologies from concept to commercialization, Kavitha blends deep technical acumen with strategic leadership to turn complex ideas into products that deliver measurable business value.
Kavitha holds a PhD in Signal Processing from the Indian Institute of Science, along with Master’s and Bachelor's degrees from the College of Engineering, Guindy. She teaches Artificial Intelligence for Robotics at UC Santa Cruz (Silicon Valley Extension), and holds over 20 granted patents. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, yoga and spending time with her family.
